Once again we had perfect weather-conditions for our day-tour “Sharp Blades” to which 17 teams from sections East and West followed our invitation.

We started at 9.30am in St. Florian. The tour lead us trough the soft hills of the alpine foreshore passing Sierning and Aschach/Steyr. We drove over the “Hoehenruecken” between the Enns- and Steyr-valley which provided a wonderful distant-view to the alps, driving past old farms and fruit plantations and heading towards Trattenbach where two guides were waiting to introduce us to the secrets of manufactoring famous clasp-knives for this area and its over 500 years old history.

Afterwards we had lunch and spent a delightful afternoon at the Marktwirt in Ternberg.

Credits to Michael Lackner who was responsible for the idea, the selection of the route as well as the organization.
