Mehr als 200 Autos Bj. 1917 – 1972 starteten auch heuer wieder unter dem Motto „Autofahren im letzten Paradies“ durch das schöne Ennstal und der umliegenden Region Schladming-Dachstein.
Zum dritten Mal fand der Parallelbewerb die Chopard Racecar-Trophy statt, welche für Rennwagen, Prototypen und GT oder Rallye-Cars ins Leben gerufen wurde. Aus Jaguarsicht bemerkenswert waren ein E-Type Lightwight Bj 1962 und ein Mk II Bj. 1967 und beim berühmten Chopard Grand Prix konnte man sogar einen D-Type bewundern.
Zum vierten Mal sponsert unser Club gemeinsam mit Jaguar Austria die Jaguar Trophy für das bestplatzierte Jaguar-Team, 20 Jaguare waren am Start der diesjährigen Ennstal Classic und nach 400km am ersten Tag und 500 km am zweiten Tag holten sich erneut Helmut Schramke und Peter Umfahrer die begehrte Jaguar Trophy auf Jaguar XK 150 DHC.
Nicht nur die Autos waren die Stars dieser Veranstaltung auch die vielen Motorsportlegenden und TV-Stars: Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), Brendon Hartley und Fritz Enzinger, Dr. Wolfgang Porsche und Walter Röhrl und Sir Stirling Moss.
Es ist die Mischung, die so viel Spannung und Beifall erzeugt: sportliches Autofahren am Tag durch die schönsten Landschaften Österreichs, am Abend trifft man sich zum Dinner im Kreis von Rennlegenden, Top-Managern und TV-Stars.
Im nächsten Jahr werden wir wieder die Jaguar Trophy bei der Ennstal-Classic verleihen.

[:en]The 23th Ennstal-Classic has taken place on the 16th – 20th of July.
The Ennstal-Classic stands for emotion, passion and Motor Sports like years ago: adventurous and challenging. More than 200 cars from 1918 to 1972, started with the motto „driving in the last paradise“ trough the famous Ennstal and the entire region Schladming–Dachstein. The top car of this event was a D-Type Le Mans…..
They were all there: the winning car of Le Mans and Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy), Wolfgang Porsche, Walter Röhrl and Sir Stirling Moss and national representatives from business, politics and celebrities.
One is for sure: the Ennstal-Classic is a real challenging rally with 400 km on the first and 500 km at the second day. The Hill climb to the Turracher Höhe was in the 50ies a challenging test track for automobile factories and now for the Ennstal-Classic participants with their classic cars a great experience.
The fourth time our club together with Jaguar Austria sponsored the Jaguar Trophy for the best classified Jaguar team.
Next year we will sponsor again the Jaguar Trophy at the Ennstal-Classic to celebrate the best classified Jaguar team.
